Dr Laufer spent his formative years growing up in the San Francisco Bay area.  After completion of High School his family moved to Paradise.  He attended Butte College transferring to CSUC. After completing his Bachelors degree in Biology he was accepted to the Life College of Chiropractic in Hayward.  Dr. Laufer attended the 100 hour Basic Applied Kinesiology Class while  still only a student at Chiropractic College.  Upon graduating Cum Laude, Dr. Laufer retuned to Chico to join forces with Dr. H. L. Eller in one of the largest and oldest established practices in the area. 

Dr. Laufer is married with one daughter.  He is active in his church and community service.
